Good idea! I even found a website that lists pepper sprays that are appropriate for women at [link removed by admin] which is pretty neat. I also want to say about tip #5, the tiny LED flashlight. I am glad you recommended LED because they last a really long time, I am in love with LED now. Overall, great list.

It’s bulky, but if you have spares it’s a good idea to keep medical insurance cards for your family in your wallet at all times. Hope you never need them, but handy in an emergency.

I think a must-have item is pepper spray (even if you have to remove it every now and then like Kat pointed out). The one I got at http://www.hughessecuritysolutions.com looks like a lipstick container so it’s actually really discreet, but makes me feel much safer when out and about with the kiddos.

Well, then: put the prohibited stuff in a large, clear slider food storage bag and leave it in the car……I was going to suggest that a half a dozen analgesics, including aspirin and acetomeniphin, wrapped in a tube of aluminum foil would be a good addition

FYI,, those things are nice for emergencies, but be prepared to clean your bag out in a hurry; and know where you cannot carry certain items. My local small precinct (court house)will not let you carry small items, such as pepper spray, metal tweezers, multi tool, even certain plastic cutlery, if they think it can be used as a weapon. You’d be surprised who checks for this stuff now.
