Allstate recognized as leading corporate citizen
|Allstate has been recognized as one of North Americas 100 Best Corporate Citizens, according to a 2009 ranking published by Corporate Responsibility Officer Magazine.
Based entirely on publicly available information, independent researchers evaluated 1,000 companies performance on seven key criteria: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial performance and corporate governance. This is the first year Allstate has achieved the top 100 ranking.

Through its corporate efforts and the support of The Allstate Foundation, Allstate has long focused on creating innovative solutions for challenging societal issues. Empowering Victims of Domestic Violence and Safe Teen Driving have been priority initiatives for The Allstate Foundation since 2005. The Foundation also partners with several nonprofit organizations on grassroots community initiatives that promote safe and vital communities, economic empowerment, and tolerance, inclusion and diversity. In addition, Allstate actively supports volunteerism among its 14,700 agents and 36,000-plus employees. Among other programs, Allstates more than 135 employee-led Helping Hands Committees across the country have coordinated thousands of volunteer efforts since 1976.
