What Millennials, Generation X and Baby Boomers Value Most
If you could keep only one thing you own, what would it be? We asked more than 1,000 U.S. adults in July 2016 about their belongings and how they feel about them. Allstate’s “It’s Not Just Stuff” survey found that people valued their homes most of all, followed by personal keepsakes (such as family photos and scrapbooks) and personal tech (such as computers and smartphones).
The survey revealed that in many cases, people’s age determined how they ranked their possessions. Millennials, it turns out, valued their belongings differently than baby boomers do. Here’s what we found when we took a closer look at the generations.
